Bread, Wine & Covenant:

The Lord's Supper is deeply rooted in the biblical tradition of covenant meals, where breaking bread together signified relationship and agreement. Jesus transformed the Passover meal, giving new meaning to the bread and wine as symbols of His body and blood—the ultimate fulfillment of God's covenant promises. When believers participate in communion, they simultaneously look back at Christ's sacrifice, experience present unity with fellow believers, and anticipate the future marriage supper of the Lamb described in Revelation. This sacred practice connects us to God's redemptive story throughout history and reminds us of our covenant relationship with Him.
