Following Jesus means we cannot continue living as we did before. Paul teaches in Ephesians that life after baptism requires developing specific skills: humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love. Church isn't just a Sunday experience—it's the relationships we build with Jesus' family. This requires learning to love people we wouldn't naturally choose, developing unity that won't break, and practicing attention in a distracted culture. God accomplishes extraordinary things through ordinary people who learn these skills of love.
