Exodus 19:1-20:21
Grace First, Then Obedience

God's pattern of salvation and obedience is revealed in Exodus 19 when Israel arrives at Mount Sinai. This pattern begins with God's initiative - He acts first in power and grace to rescue His people. Only after salvation does God call for obedience, as seen in the giving of the Law. When people respond with obedience, blessings follow. God saved Israel not just from slavery but for a purpose: to be a holy nation and kingdom of priests. Today, Christians experience this same pattern - saved by grace through Jesus, called to obedience, and blessed to be God's representatives in the world.
